Privacy Policy

This policy explains how reel-captions handles your data, in line with India's DPDP Act and GDPR principles.

What we process

• Uploaded media: processed in-memory and in a temporary working directory only. Audio is extracted, transcribed, and the source and temporary files are deleted immediately after processing. We do not retain your video.
• Usage counters: an anonymous visitor identifier (cookie) and a monthly minutes counter, stored to enforce the free-tier limit. No personal profile is built.
• Payment data: handled by our payment processor (Razorpay). We never see or store full card details.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data, use your media to train models, or share transcripts with third parties.

Your rights

You may request deletion of any data associated with your visitor identifier by contacting support. Because media is deleted right after processing, there is typically nothing to delete beyond the usage counter.

Retention

Usage counters expire automatically ~40 days after the month they belong to.
